In an effort to grow and develop the Mascot Hall of Fame's Executive Committee has voted to include College Characters in this year’s selection process.  The decision was made after the group got together just before the holidays.

Chris Bruce (Vice Chair of the EC) said, “This is a great step for the Hall to include college characters.  There is an unbelievable amount of passion and support for these characters among there respective communities.  They represent a great deal of tradition and The Mascot Hall of Fame is truly excited about their being included in the mix.” 

The new nomination process including the collegiate contingent is now available to the publicon the Mascot Hall of Fame's official website, http://www.mascothalloffame.com/.  This process will lay out a path for almost anyone to try and get their beloved mascot seen by the Executive Committee and onto the 2006 Ballot.  Hundreds of these bids for nomination are expected to come in once the word is out that they are available.

Time will only tell who will make this year’s ballot!
